Etna Excursion Program
17:30 Meeting Point, Piazza Mazzini (Catania)
Pick up at our Meeting Point. Beginning of the excursion. Departure to Etna. 1 hour of driving.
During the way your tour leader will tell you about the history of the Etna volcano, the major eruptions, flora and fauna, as well as local traditions and cuisine. One hour full of facts, fairy tales and stories.
18:30 Rifugio Sapienza (Etna)
Arrival at a height of ~ 2 000 mt.
Beginning of the guide-free walking excursion. 2 hour stop with free time.
Possible activities:
- walking around the Silvestri craters and one of the craters of the year 2001,
- having a quad excursion (extra cost),
- having a snack on the slopes of Etna (just remember to bring a sandwich and a bottle of water with you),
- having an aperitive in a bar/restaurant (extra cost),
- shopping of souvenirs.
20:30 Rifugio Sapienza (Etna)
End of the walking excursion. Departure to Catania. 1 hour of driving.
21:30 Meeting Point, Piazza Mazzini (Catania)

Amazing & beautiful
Had a really good experience with these guys. Daria the sales assistant gave us all the information we needed and let us know exactly what to expect. Driver on day was really friendly and told us a lot of information about the city as we were driving towards Etna. The volcano and the view from it was amazing. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing experience
We took the afternoon tour (16:00-21:00) with my other two friends and we had a really amazing time. Our guide was very friendly and he knew very well the area and the history around it so he gave us a complete and fun tour.

Amazing and fun tour
We booked a Mt Etna sunset tour with Fabio. Very prompt pick up and great information about Mt Etna on the journey. Fabio was such a lovely guy and very accommodating. As we finished at Mt Etna earlier than expected Fabio agreed to take us to a village down the mountain where we stayed and had a meal. We also booked Fabio for the transfer from the hotel back to the airport and again great communication and reasonable pricing. Would certainly recommend without a doubt Mark

The cost of the small group Etna excursion from Catania includes car or minivan and driver. The transfer from our Meeting Point on Piazza Mazzini (Catania) to Rifugio Sapienza (Etna), the transfer from Rifugio Sapienza (Etna) to our Meeting Point on Piazza Mazzini (Catania) and 3 hours stop.
NOTES:
We kindly ask our clients to respect the program of our excursions. Please, present in time:
– to our Meeting Point before your excursion starts;
– to our Meeting Point before your departure to Catania.
We give maximum 15 minutes of free waiting time after the agreed pick-up time for our clients. If you are not present in the Meeting Point at the end of this period and other people from your group are not agree to wait, the car will drive away without you. In this case all extra costs such as a taxi transfer to a first point of your excursion or your accommodation will be at your expense.
If other people from your group are agree to wait more than 15 minutes, buying this excursion you agree to pay extra fee for an additional waiting time. Starting from 16 minutes to 60 minutes of delay you’ll be charged an additional fee of € 45, for a second hour other € 45 and etc.
Extra such as restaurants, wine tastings, entrance tickets, cable cars, official guides etc. are at the client’s expense.

Payments can be effectuated simply and easily by bank transfer or credit card any time before the date of the required service, in cash or by credit card the same day as the required service.
Change of plans? No problem.
Tour or transfer cancellations received with at least 48 hours notice will be refunded in full except for bank charges.
Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice will be not refunded.
