Small group tour to Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest and most active volcano standing at 3 357 metres a.s.l. and denominated as a UNESCO site in 2013.
Departure by chauffeur-driven car at 10:00 and arrival at about 11:00 at the Etna Sud station Rifugio Sapienza at a height of 1 910 metres. The following two hours can be spent for a soft trekking around the more recent lava flow areas and the extinct Silvestri craters.
Departure at 13:00 for Taormina and arrival at about 14:00. Panoramic views of Isola Bella and the Giardini Naxos bay.
The following three hours can then be spent visiting the delightful town of Taormina, a renowned centre for elite tourism. The town’s panoramic position, the beautiful scenery, the artistic and architectural treasures, the vestiges of an ancient history, all add to the uniqueness of the town and make for an unforgettable excursion both in the summer and the winter.

Arrival at a height of ~ 2 000 mt. Beginning of the guide-free walking tour. 2 hour stop with free time.
Possible activities:
- walking around the Silvestri craters and one of the craters of the year 2001,
- having a quad excursion (extra cost),
- having a snack on the slopes of Etna (just remember to bring a sandwich and a bottle of water with you),
- having an aperitive in a bar/restaurant (extra cost),
- shopping of souvenirs.
